Tutlo is similar to Cambly but they pay more – fractionally: $5 – $11/hour and their students are Polish.
According to Alexander Leonor who seems to have knowledge of the inner workings, he writes on Tutlo’s Facebook “review” part of their Page that they pay bi-monthly through Paypal which is convenient.
They look quite a promising gig for non-natives and non-certificate holding job applicants respectively.
They state the following: “A native speaker of English from the US, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa … plus … Non-native speakers are welcome to apply … Teaching Certificates are preferred but not a requirement. No teaching certificate? Scholarship is given exclusively for passers.”
So, there’s nothing to state Filipino’s or other non-native speakers are prohibited from applying – quite the opposite and clearly better pay from most Filipino run online English centers.
From a students perspective, they are flexible in their choice of when to learn and can pick and choose different teachers from day to day which suggests lesson plans are not set in stone.
There are quite a few that have applied and asked the basics in the comments section on their Facebook page, but requests have fallen on deaf ears – this is one bone of contention.
Reviews are current there and are mostly from Polish students but tutors have also left their thoughts.
